In modern industrial systems, instrumentation is the key element that connects the physical process with operational decision-making. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of how measurement and control systems work, from sensors to final control elements, including signal transmission, industrial communication and representation in engineering diagrams.

The program is delivered by Innovent, C.A, under the instruction of Eng. Gerardo Lanza, and integrates fundamentals used in the process industry (oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, chemicals, etc.).

Participants will develop the competencies to understand a complete control loop, from measurement to control action, including:

  • Interaction between sensor, transmitter, controller and final control element
  • Interpretation of standardized industrial signals (4–20 mA, 3–15 psig, digital)
  • Understanding of industrial communication (HART, Fieldbus, Profibus)
  • Application of field installation and process connection criteria
  • Identification and reading of instrumentation under the ISA 5.1 standard
  • Interpretation of loop diagrams for troubleshooting and maintenance

Global Safety Solutions (GSS) acts as a strategic partner, providing the digital platform for the final assessment and issuance of the certificate.

3. Course access
Access to the course is personal and non-transferable.
The participant will have a limited access period in accordance with the program conditions.

Sharing credentials or access with third parties is not permitted.

4. Assessment and passing
To obtain the certificate, the participant must:

  • Complete the course content
  • Take the final assessment on the GSS platform
  • Obtain a minimum passing score (70%)
  • GSS reserves the right to validate the authenticity of the assessment attempt.

5. Certification
The certificate issued:

  • Certifies that the course assessment was passed
  • Is linked to the program delivered by Innovent, C.A
  • Is personal, digital and non-transferable
  • The certificate does not replace additional hands-on training requirements set by employers or regulators.

6. Academic integrity
